Help Chinese Orphans: Walk the Wall to Give Life & End Abandonment

WTW-2014-v2

In the spirit of this blog providing value that matters to you, I offer you this opportunity to join me in supporting a cause that I am passionate about.  But if you’re not passionate about it, that’s totally cool, no pressure and no big deal :).  But if you’re curious, feel free to read on…

As I have done annually for the past few years, I’m part of a team walking in Walk the Wall, a fundraiser for International China Concern (ICC) http://www.chinaconcern.org/.  Walk the Wall Vancouver is happening tomorrow, September 27, from 9am-12pm around the seawall in Stanley Park.

ICC is a registered charity providing full-time care in China for hundreds of Chinese children and adults with disabilities. Walk the Wall is a 10km walk-a-thon being held around the world in September 2014.

I invite you to help ICC meet its fundraising goal and help to transform lives by joining with me in the following ways:

* Register to walk on our team: http://walkthewall.kintera.org/faf/r.asp?t=12&i=1111091&g=6093873&faf=1&e=7908488767
 * Make a donation (link may not work in IE, so try Firefox or Chrome): http://walkthewall.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=1111091&lis=1&kntae1111091=EE816CFD123B4AA7AB7F96BDF54FEF3C&supId=392807775

International China Concern already provides full time care, therapy and education for hundreds of disabled children who have been abandoned. And ICC wants to do so much more.

Funds raised through Walk the Wall will allow more therapists to be hired and trained to work with the children. It will enable ICC to continue working with an ever-increasing number of families who have children with disabilities, providing the supports necessary to prevent abandonment.
